Most internet radio sites are going off the air in observance of a Day Of Silence, organized by internet radio webcasters and others who stream or otherwise publish non-indie music over the internet. The event is a protest to raise awareness of a drastic, some would say draconian, increase in royalty rates charged to internet but not terrestrial radio stations.
