Song of the Week – July 27th

Sorry, catching up here. The preparing for the PanMassChallenge took me offline for a bit, but here’s a worthy bit to catch up on….
The Last Goodnight - Poison Kiss
“Pictures of You” from the group The Last Goodnight is the first single off an album (Poison Kiss) due out August 28th. The rest of the released tracks are also musically rich and complex songs that are very listenable. ‘Pictures’ starts out with a Steely Dan sound but transitions quickly into a more modern piano & guitar band sound (Fountains of Wayne, FastBall, Maroon 5), strong but not heavy. It’s a really interesting mix of styles which makes each track different. This Enfield Connecticutt spawned band has got tremendous talent.

The single ‘Poison Kiss’ isn’t getting airplay yet, but it’s as good or better than ‘Pictures of You’. If these two are any indication the album will be outstanding.

Nokia Introduces Stylish Prism Collection

The Nokia 7900 and 7500 are style conscious phones targeted to capture an audience just below the ‘cost is no object’ luxury crowd. The phones have a unique diamond shaped key design with matching etchings on the body, and sharp, clean lines all around.

The phones are full featured music players with MP3, AAC+ and WMA codecs and 1G of built in storage.
