Teen queen Miley Cyrus has this week’s Song of the Week with her hit single See You Again. I have been debating this one for some time because although the song is a certifiable hit and the album has gone #1 on several charts, it’s tough to avoid thinking of any track produced by a 14 year old as anything other than bubble-gum pop. But Cyrus and her contemporaries like Taylor Swift or Alyson and Amanda Joy Michalka (a/k/a Aly & AJ) are producing a rash of hits that appeal beyond the youth demographic.  In the case of See You Again, Cyrus produces a remarkably mature vocal track on top of the solid pop instrumental production.

So call this the week of the Teen Queen and check out Cyrus’ MySpace page and avoid her official website unless you are under the age of 15 (very Disney and very pink). While you’re at it,  check out Taylor Swift’s impressive official website and sample her hit single Teardrops on my Guitar .
